New governor of Aden Al Jazeera appointed in Yemen
One of the separatist leaders in the Transitional Council of South Yemen, Ahmed Hamid Lemlis, has been appointed governor of the city of Aden, Al Jazeera reports on July 29. The decision was made by Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi after a deal was reached between the country's authorities and the separatists of the south. The head of state also announced the name of the new head of the security forces Aden. He became Mohammed al-Hamidi, whose appointment was also agreed with the Transitional Council. According to the news agency, on July 28, the Yemeni authorities and separatists from the Transitional Council of South Yemen agreed to create a general government of the country and withdraw troops to their previous locations.
