US drone could have been shot down over Iran - media
A U.S. unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) could have been shot down over Iranian territory for violating its airspace. This is reported with reference to sources by the news agency MehrNews. The unmanned vehicle could have shot down the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) air force, including air defense units. The scene of the alleged incident is not mentioned. It is reported that the agency is currently checking information about the shooting down of UAVs. On February 6, the state-owned IRIB television and radio company of the Islamic Republic of Iran first showed footage of a shot down American spy drone after it was pulled from the water, according to the news agency.
