Mongolian graduates of Russian universities gave Buryatia 15 thousand masks

On April 30, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar hosted the transfer of medical masks for the residents of Buryatia from Mongolian graduates of Russian and Soviet universities. The charity action was initiated by the Union of Mongolian Friendship Societies and the Mongolian Association of Graduates of Soviet and Russian Educational Institutions (MAWSUZ). The action was also supported by the Mongolian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature. During the campaign graduates and teachers of the Russian language donated 5.37 million tugriks (about 155 thousand rubles) as a sign of gratitude to Buryatia for the assistance provided during the arrival of Mongolian students from Russia. More than 15 thousand medical masks were purchased for the collected funds from the local pharmaceutical company with a discount of 50%. The director of the pharmaceutical company decided to support the charitable action, as his parents are graduates of Irkutsk universities. Organizers of the charity action handed over assistance to the head of the representative office of the Russian Cooperation in Mongolia Amgalan Bazarkhandayev. In turn, the diplomat on behalf of Russian citizens thanked the Mongolian side for organizing a charity event and assured of the timely delivery of the cargo to Buryatia. Mongolian Rusists noted that this charity action does not end, they plan to donate masks to residents of the Irkutsk region. On April 11, 126 Mongolian students arrived on a flight from Moscow to Ulan-Ude. At the request of the Consulate General of Mongolia in Ulan-Ude, the Buryatia authorities organized the transport of students to the Kyakhta-Altanbulag border crossing.
