China will raise basic pension payments for pensioners by 5% in 2020, Xinhua news agency reported on April 17. This increase has been under way for the 16th year in a row. Since the beginning of the year, the average monthly amount of payments to pensioners who worked at enterprises in government organizations and public agencies has increased by 5% compared to the level of 2019. According to the Ministry of Labor and Public Security of the People's Republic of China, this year the increase in pensions became similar to 2019.
