Prisoners in Montenegrin prison ask for amnesty over coronavirus

On 23 March, the prisoners of the Montenegrin prison signed a petition demanding that the President of Montenegro grant amnesty to all those sentenced to up to three months 'imprisonment. They also ask for the rest of the convicts to reduce their terms for cherverl due to the spread of coronavirus in the country. They filed an application with the Criminal Sanctions Enforcement Department and sent the initiative to President Milo Djukanović of Montenegro. This was reported to the CDM portal by the parents of the prisoners. The petition states, inter alia, that since there are large numbers of people with chronic diseases in prison, the majority of prisoners are unable to maintain social distance.
