In China, a two-month-old child who suffered from coronavirus was discharged from hospital

A two-month-old girl from Guangdong Province in southern China who was diagnosed with a new coronavirus (COVID-19) has already been discharged from hospital, Xinhua news agency reported on February 17. The girl and her mother come from Wuhan, the epicentre of China's new coronavirus epidemic. They arrived in the cities of Chaozhou by car to see relatives on January 25. After the family, including the girl's older brother and grandmother, settled in the hotel, they felt symptoms similar to those of the new coronavirus. The girl was placed on 3 February at the Medical Centre for Women and Children in Guangzhou. After 13 days of treatment, the child lost all symptoms of coronavirus, and the infection test showed three negative results. Her loved ones, however, are still being treated.
